Last Friday, after the bridal luncheon, my cousin, Kelly, hosted a bridesmaids’ personal shower for Courtney.
She worked really hard at getting her house ready for the shower, including re-doing her guest room.
Don’t you love to have company over so it will cause you to get projects done around the house that you have been meaning to do for a long time?!
Well, that’s what Kelly did. With some help from her mom, my Aunt Pat.
I asked her if I could share some pictures of her home on my blog and she said yes.
Thanks, Kelly!
I love this picture over her fireplace. Of course, ya’ll know I love me some tan, red, and black!
A beautiful scrolly-thing…
Kelly purchased this adorable little “loo” sign from Ballard Designs magazine. Love that magazine!!!
She also bought her shower curtain from Ballard Designs too.
To add a little color to the curtain, she tied blue ribbon to each of the shower curtain hangers. How cute is that?
A beautiful apothecary jar…
I loved her bedroom suite. She got a great deal on this beautiful furniture.
The colors were so soothing. I love her blue walls!
Okay, my bathroom never looks this clean! Oh the space….
And then there was the food and drink for the bridal shower!
I love the way Kelly added a cute little bow to each of her pitchers just to “fancy them up” a little bit.
What a great idea!
It was the perfect girly touch!
The flowers were absolutely gorgeous! I love pink!!! Not a lot of it around my house …if you know what I mean.
How adorable is the 3 tier cake stand displaying delicious little petit fours?
Again…I love the way she added the bows!
Isn’t that paisley tablecloth scrumptious? And the polka-dot plates? And the silver dragonfly napkin holder?
Oh my!
And check out the “bling”! Such a cute touch. :)
More delicious food!
Have you ever had these Oreo Truffle Balls?
If not, girls, you have not lived!!!
I will share the recipe at the bottom of this post.
And as if all of this hard work wasn’t enough, Kelly even took the time to make us all some homemade strawberry jam!
She got the strawberries from my Aunt Tassy’s strawberry farm.
She downloaded the font and clip art from her computer and printed it on a clear label. Then she just cut a square of lime green material, placed it under the lid, and added the label.
Precious!
Here’s Kelly with Courtney, the bride.
Kelly, you are amazing! Thanks for making the bridal shower such a special time together.
Now for the recipe for Oreo Truffle Balls…
Ingredients:
1 package Oreo cookies, crushed
8 ounces cream cheese, softened
1 package white almond bark
1 package chocolate almond bark
Directions:
Using a blender or hand held mixer, mix Oreos and cream cheese together. Roll into walnut size balls. Chill for an hour. Melt approximately 3/4 package of white almond bark. Stick a toothpick in an Oreo ball and dip it in the melted white almond bark. Allow to harden on wax paper. Takes about 15 min. While waiting, melt about 1/4 package of chocolate almond bark. When Oreo balls are no longer sticky to the touch, decorate with drizzles of chocolate and white almond bark or left over cookie crumbs.
This recipe from CDKitchen for Oreo Balls serves/makes 25
ENJOY!
Stay tuned for more wedding fun! Up next, the dinner rehearsal!
Have a blessed day!
